CYBER SCIENCE PROGRAM RECOGNIZED AT CYBERMARYLAND 2016

As part of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, the 6th Annual CyberMaryland Conference is taking place this week at Hilton Baltimore, and our Cyber Dons attended the opening ceremony on October 20. Director of Cyber Science Mr. Steve Morrill and Andrew Stehman '18 were invited to provide an overview of our program and how it's paving the way for Cyber education across the country. Andrew also had the opportunity to introduce the keynote speaker Admiral Michael S. Rogers, Director of the National Security Agency. Watch the following clip, which aired on C-SPAN this morning:

Students attended several conference sessions and met with several top CEOs, CISOs, and military personnel who deal with cyber security, including former Department of Homeland Security Secretary and former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge.

Later in the evening, Mr. Morrill and Andrew attended the 2016 Cyber Security Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which honored seven new inductees this year.
