Loyola Blakefield Announces Matthew Prochilo as Chief Advancement Officer
Loyola Blakefield is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Prochilo as the school's new Chief Advancement Officer.
Matt brings extensive experience in advancement, donor relations, and higher education to Loyola. Most recently, he served at the College of the Holy Cross, where he progressed through increasingly senior fundraising roles, including Leadership Giving Officer, Major Gifts Officer, and Senior Major Gifts Officer. Prior to his work in frontline fundraising, he served as Assistant Director and later Associate Director of Donor Relations and Writer, helping strengthen donor engagement and institutional communications. Earlier in his career, Matt held positions in publication and in several secondary schools as both faculty and administrator.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Fordham University, a Master of Arts in Applied Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago, and a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. His professional experience, combined with his deep appreciation for Catholic education and relationship-centered advancement, will serve Loyola well as we continue to strengthen our culture of philanthropy and advance the mission of the school.

Matt is eager to begin building relationships throughout the Loyola community and helping shape the school’s future.

Originally from Long Island, Matt was born in Southampton, New York, and raised in neighboring Hampton Bays. He attended Our Lady of the Hamptons School in Southampton and St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School in West Islip. Outside of his professional work, Matt enjoys recreational running, traveling throughout the United States and abroad, cooking, and spending time at the ocean. He is also an avid aviation enthusiast.
As Chief Advancement Officer, Matt will provide strategic leadership for Loyola Blakefield's advancement program, overseeing fundraising, donor and constituent engagement, annual giving, campaign initiatives, endowment growth, and philanthropic stewardship. Working closely with school leadership and the advancement team, he will help strengthen Loyola's culture of philanthropy, deepen relationships with alumni, parents, and benefactors, and advance the school's Catholic, Jesuit mission of forming men of integrity, scholarship, and service.
