Upper School Murray Learning Services

Meeting Students Where They Are

Murray Learning Service is a fee-based college preparatory program that exists to support bright, motivated Loyola students with documented learning differences in their efforts to complete all of Loyola’s requirements for graduation and prepare for success in their collegial pursuits. Murray Services mission is to assist in creating an accessible community where students with learning differences have an equal opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of the educational environment.  We cooperate through partnerships with students, teachers, and staff to promote students’ independence, self-advocacy, and a level playing field for all students with learning differences.  This ensures recognition of a student’s abilities, not disabilities.
Academic support at Loyola helps students build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive beyond high school. Students from Murray Learning Services go on to a diverse range of colleges and universities, including the institutions below.

  • Our Mission

Our approach begins with cura personalis—care for the whole person. We meet each student where they are, build on their individual strengths, and use the learning process to develop metacognitive skills and confidence. Through thoughtful accommodations, individualized support, and opportunities to practice independence and self-advocacy, we empower each student to recognize and fully develop their abilities.
